Next weekend we are taking a miracle offering for the launch of our sixth location. I love the fact that the offering happens on Pentecost Sunday, the birthday of the church. We’re getting ready to birth our sixth location so a birthday gift seems so apropos.
For what it’s worth, we launch new locations for about $100,000. That is about as cost-effective as you can get, but it’s still $100,000. And here’s the thing. We don’t budget for them. Why? Because if the vision is from God then God will make provision. We like backing ourselves into corners where we need a miracle to get out. We’re believing God for a $100,000 miracle next weekend.
If you want to give online, here’s a link. I’ve been so encouraged by non-NCCers who are investing in the launch. Thanks for being shareholders.

I recently did a five-minute message on expecting the unexpected for ministry direct. I share about some of the lessons learned through the closing of the Union Station movie theaters last fall. It was a tough season for us, but I look back on it just six months later, and I believe it was a turning point for us. God has opened new doors, but we wouldn’t have been looking for them if the doors at Union Station hadn’t closed.
Thank God for the unexpected. It usually shocks us and scares us at first, but sometimes God’s biggest blessings come disguised as unexpected problems that totally change our plans for the better!
